Well, he loses his Schadenfreude pretty fast once he learns he'll have to to live without Sansa until their second wedding! Good for Ned! It's one point for him at least.

I think my two favourite things in fanfic are awkward Ned and smug Sandor. As you can imagine I'm very happy here! Sandor, quite literally taking the piss was hilarious. I bet Ned must have enjoyed being able to wipe the smirk off his face. Although I'm sure he would like to do more.
Sandor characterisation is pure perfection, in my opinion. I think we must share a head canon of him.

Yes, we probably do. You know, writing scenes like that is a pure pleasure to me. Continuously making Ned ill-at-ease in this fic has been wonderful. Next chapter, which is the last for this story, will be a Ned POV so we’ll get more of that. Muahaha!

Another excellent chapter! You know I do like how considerate your Sandor is - that he would even think of paying the pyromancer who made the love philtre. Or how in A Woman's Weapon he sold only Sansa's jewels that were given to her by Cersei and Joffrey. That's a nice touch as its portrayed very causually, he's not congratulating himself for it at all.

Oh the chamber pot scene, so Sandor. But what did Sansa think? I would imagine she'd be terribly grossed out by it.

It was nice too how Sandor remarked on the possibility of Ned killing Sansa for honor. I don't think that's a practice in Westeros, I mean even the Freys didn't do that to Gatehouse Ami and she was caught with three stableboys, but I did like that Sandor thought of it. That protecting Sansa is his highest ambition. I wonder how this story will end? Neither of them resent the love philtre and Sandor's gratful for it - but is it satisfying that love is induced based on being drugged?
