upon revisiting...the "I read that too" is in reference to the bit about THC, not the Davinci Code. I've heard great things. Unfortunately, it does not fall under the category of "architectural non-fiction" and so is not on my reading list.

"Fallingwater Rising: Frank Lloyd Wright, E.J. Kaufman, and America's Most Extraordinary House." By Franklin Toker ***Toker walks us through the history of our nations most traveled to, freestanding art piece. While the house itself is great and a point of pilgrimage for every aspiring architect, the writing is the magical part about this book. Toker's Thoreauvian painting of his own journey makes the reader want to hop a plaie to rural PA tomorrow. It's a great book to cuddle by the fire with as the nights become longer.
"Vitruvius's The Ten Books on Architecture" As translated by Morris Hicky Morgan ***my copy has 68 illustrations...Picture books are so hot right now!
"Why Buildings Fall Down: How Structures Fall (updated and expanded" by Matthys Levy and Mario Salvadori ***The book actually mentions my old school's 1970's auditorium and the events and structural mistakes which lead to its eventual collapse. My school was quite tiny. It was amusing.
