So I have this friend, she has a masters in Childrens lit. and is tuned into all kinds of interesting avenues of bookish critical discussion. She subscribes to the Horn Book, which is a magazine about books for children and young adults, apparently you've really made it when your book shows up in their pages.

Pretty spiffy indeed :] I like the defense of ffic while mentioning that, yes, some of it is pretty bad, but explaining why that's not actually a terrible problem.
