Wow, that looks great. Not entirely how I would picture Nick, but it certainly could be him. Well done. :)

What would you do differently?

The illustration project I set myself is going to involve a lot of all of the DL characters, and I'm drawing right now. Got any actor photos, sketches, or just text descriptive suggestions?

(Awesome icon, btw. :)

I wouldn't do anything differently, as I can't really draw :D - I just have a slightly different picture in my head. And as with all book characters, the picture is rather vague.

There's more to come? Awesome, I'm looking forward to it. :) As I said, I picture book characters rather vaguely, and sometimes I see a person in the street and just think "That's XY from Z!". But I will let you know if any pictures spark in my head or something!

(Thanks! I have a huge love for Schmendrick.)

Oh that is totally gorgeous. And his expression is so Nick!

I was going for "...confused and slightly annoyed by all these puny humans" look. I tried to come up with other Nick expressions, but aside from, "YAY I AM KILLING THINGS PRODUCTIVELY NOW", I couldn't come up with much. :\ Oh! There's also, "I'm smiling to make you cry", or "I'm smiling because you agree with me and are also killing things productively!" Ah yes, and the almost affectionate, "Alan, I like you but please stop touching me."

Do you think I missed any?

I feel like the quote needs to be amended. Nick is vastly understating his appeal. Girls AND boys, and possibly bosses and villains and old women peering over the fence with binoculars like Nick. Mmmrowr.

Seriously, though, this is lovely. I love the expression on his face, and all the details are fantastic--the talisman, his hair, the itty teeth on the zipper of the hoodie. I saw in another comment you said this was part of an illustration project, and now I am SO EXCITED.

This is fantastic! :3 He's so great, and your little details are beautiful. ^___^ I can't wait to see your interpretation of Alan and Jamie. :)

(Gah!! His HURR. >:3)

Nice!

Ooh, I'll tell you which actor I imagine would be perfect for Nick! Nicholas Hoult! Google him, I think you'll see what I mean :)

Ooh, that is a good pic choice of Nick Hoult! I first saw him act in the Brit soap 'Skins', he plays an unfeeling manipulative jerk, he's a great actor.

Ahh, Sarah's choice looks too cowboy-like to me, and also too old? He couldn't pass for a 16 year old. But he is undeniably hot ^^

Gah! That's it in one. The age thing I could work around (and *maybe* a good makeup artist could fix), but the cowboy-vide really kills it for me. I can NOT see Nick approaching a horse for any other reason than food.
