Oh, OW! I love all the details of Dean making things work with his left hand and Sam cutting up his food for him. And Dean making peace with Impala. :)

For some reason I love stories where Dean can't use his hands, and San has to help him. Maybe it's because it's a role reversal, yin to the yang of Dean having to cut up Sam's food for him when they were kids.

Hee, if anyone could be a car whisperer, it would be Dean.

And now I really want steak and apple pie for some reason.

Interesting point. I don't know why, but I like this problem myself. But it might be the sexiness of a cast on the arm. Also? Being able to work both-handed is a special ... kink?... of mine.

Oh, yeah. Steak and pie. We had apple-pie today, as a matter of fact. Was ok, but the steak was missing.

Love the details about how Dean handles pain and how Sam knows his brother...and the alone-time with the Impala was just perfect :)

I took a lot of that from myself, actually. I get real growly when you touch me while I'm in a lot of pain. I'm not the touchy-feely-type on a good day, but add pain and I get right bad with being touched. Small cuts are no problem, but hurt me good (like, for example, tear my ligaments in my ankle) and I'm all "Don't touch, don't touch!"

The Impala wasn't at fault. Dean'd make sure she knows that .-D
