Both my bikes were stolen from my apartment building. Just discovered it this morning. Am currently on hold with Vancouver Police Department.

Am still kind of in shock/denial. Don't know how the fuck I'm gonna get another bike.

What, NO! Your beautiful bike!

In older societies, horse thieves got some of the most severe punishment imaginable. Sometimes it was punished worse than murder! Bike thieves need to have their arms removed.

LOL TOTALLY.

I'm remembering all the work we put into that bike. Adam hand-built the wheels. My saddle alone was worth $160. I had campy brakes on there too.

Luckily my dad has caught the cycling bug -- I'm hoping he might lend me the money to buy a new one (although nothing can replace the Firechicken).

Hopefully you can get some better security for your next bike.

My friend Miles had parts of his bike stolen outside a music store on a busy street here in Seattle. Lost his nice seat and front wheel.

Well the security issue -- I definitely could've been more careful. Lots of people in my building keep their bikes in the foyer of our building -- me included. There were six bikes there and the thieves stole only mine (I guess they were the nicest). I would have kept my nice bike in our apartment, but my roommate didn't want it crowding the hallway. Anyway, if I get a new one before I move outta this place, it's definitely staying in our hallway, crowding be damned. I don't give a shit.
