The entrance was welcoming enough. There was plush seating, even if the fabric was a little worn. There were colorful carpets, and warm colors which contrasted starkly with the grey stone outside. The dread in this built so expertly as the one who is mad was revealed to be the only one who's sane. The details are exact and lovely, like the now ill-fitting wedding ring. So good.

I really felt the most sorrow for our Róisín. I had all kinds of slanderous perspectives from those around her floating around in my head. She's the strongest of them all, I think.

Me too! The old tales have some theories, like the inclination towards musical talents, but often the changelings are described as a bit oafish, a little deformed...but I couldn't help thinking that the perfect fairies would perhaps give birth to something maybe not quite lovely, but charismatic and insidious all the same.

Wow-- this was amazing and creepy, and I loved the way it kept unfolding right up to the end, where the truth wasn't at all what we expected.

And a pang of sadness for that poor little boy, lost so long ago and only his sister ever knew...
