Funeral rites

Attending a funeral gives one cause to consider one's own mortality. It included an exhibition of her life, photos from her life and things important to her. Such an exhibition for me would of course have Rattus as the centrepiece, but what if he could be more than that? What if he could be a participant too? I would love for Rattus to be sitting ( Read more... )

Thank you, love. I will want Rattus to be worn! But you could always pimp him out to different furries at different conventions.

Oooh I'm curious - what is your personal stance on what should happen to the fursuit of a deceased furry?

If I die unexpectedly before my kitty fursuit wears out (because it has an open-cell foam head, I'm giving it about a 5 ~ 10 year lifespan), I'd love to have all my viable organs donated and be cremated with my suit.

What if he could be a participant too? I would love for Rattus to be sitting there among my much-loved plush, but then he could surprise people by actually having someone inside!

I like that idea. And I think that funerals should be a celebration of life as much as a mourning of death, and this fits right in.

As for plushies? An unsolved conundrum, I think; what do you DO with plushies, when you die or when you tire of them beforehand? Passing them on is a possibility, but it only passes the problem on to someone else. I really have no answer there. :/

We could bury you in the suit. Save the cost of a coffin. :)

What will happen to your plush after your gone?

Its a question I have often pondered, I know from experience if no one knows what to do with them they either get donated or dumped.

You need a "plush executor" nominated in your will, someone who would know in advance what you want done with your plush.

When I go there are a couple of plush that will have to come with me as I do not want to go out alone.

Silly I know but just a wish.

Though I'll miss them, I don't want any of my plush or fursuits to join me. I know that my body will just be rotting meat, and I would hate for my plush to share the same fate.
