My feeling is that 2-7 is more subject to card-removal and hand-correlation effects, and also it seems to me that the hand values are more clustered - that is, there are more often four or five distinct settings (ie not kicker plays) within .2 of EV, where the high CP hands seem to have more space between them, which makes playing heuristically easier.
