OOM: Merlin and Yrael in New Orleans

Jan 20, 2008 00:54

The alleyway is a stark change from the casual (and not quite as loud) comfort of Milliway's main bar area, but Merlin is an expert at adaption and simply steps into the street, glancing up towards the second floor of the building they are loitering next to.

"So which way?"

He's casually lighting a cigarette.

"Flip a coin," Yrael grins, stepping out into Royal St. She's still barefoot. Dirt happens to other people. "If we go left, then turn at that next intersection, we'll head towards Bourbon St. There are a lot of places we can pick from, there."

Dirt happens to Merlin so he's going to continue wearing his shoes. "No need to flip coins. I'll follow your lead, Yrael, since you know the terrain and I don't." Yet. He inhales once more from the cigarette before letting the cylinder fall to the ground, soon crushed underneath a heel.

And he's offering an arm.

"I'm still learning it, myself. I know of my favorite antique stores and the bar where I performed a couple of weeks ago- I won first place in the open-mic night event." Of course. "I have found some lovely instrument shops, as well, and I have a room at Belle's house for my use, should I ever stay overnight."

She arches a pale eyebrow at the offered arm, smiling at him a moment before gracefully taking it. "Playing the gentleman, tonight, are we?"

"Still learning, and yet you have a place to stay, a favored watering hole. Store locations." His tone holds a teasing quality, as does the twinkle in his light eyes -- about the only portion of his body that is pale.

Merlin's other hand descends to rest light over the fingers curling against his shirt. "I normally do, unless given reason to behave otherwise. My mother does not easily tolerate uncouth sons."
