Cool interview, Mark. I liked Kaaron’s mention of S.E. Hinton. She was one of my YA inspriations too!

No, I’m slightly dyslexic. One thing my editor at The Fix is adamant about is spelling the author’s name correctly and this has been drilled into my head. On my first review two years ago at Tangent I said Norman “Spinard” and got my hand slapped. Only caught my booboo here after I posted the comment. Sorry, Kaaron. On the first post I had it Karoon. *embarrassed grin*

You may have seen my interview with Paolo Bacigalupi back in February. Now there’s a gentleman’s name that I had to learn by rote. ;)

Don't worry, I had business cards made up and they spelled my name "Karoon". Can happen to anybody!

As for S.E. Hinton, I'm glad you're inspired by her too. She had an online forum years ago, and I was thrilled to send her a message about how she'd helped me become a writer. I can't remember what her answer was. I guess she gets that a lot.
