I think this essay may be old but it was interesting to me.  Not sure if I even agree with his basic premise but I would agree at least that there is cultural problem surrounding

Very interesting essay. It brought to mind some of Lessig's stuff about the democratization of creative culture. If we do away with the old copyright system, what sorts of constraints would optimize "free culture", I wonder.
