Okay, you almost have me convinced. If it comes on telly I'll give it a go, my qualms notwithstanding. :)

It's not a patch on the original adaptation, but while I was slightly bored in places, I didn't find it offensive in any way (though maybe that's a bad thing in itself).

yup agreed - Rose is the most watchable character/well acted. I enjoyed the changing to the mod/rocker era

Yeah, totally - she plays of the only characters that is remotely like how she was in the book.
