I was hard up for something new to read and it caught my eye in passing while cruising the shelves at the local megabookstore. The back cover read like a mystery / crime thriller with a supernatural twist. It piqued my curiosity so I picked it up ( Read more... )

I call it "Southern Blake Lite"
The series is a lot more humorus and good for light reading.
Good when you need a goth laugh.

I loved it. Never read a Blake book in my life, and probably never will. I also read the second book in the series which was cute, light, fun reading as well. It helps that I have a fetish for books set in the south. :)

"Downsize this" "Stupid White Men" and "Dude, where's my Country" by Micheal Moore

"Jennifer Government" by Max Barry... Maz Barry also wrote "Syrup" also a really good book, but nearly as ranty.
