Yeah!!! Right now I'm standing in the middle of my living room doing a fist pump of celebration and shouting 'Woo! Woo! Woo!'. Well, okay, truth is I'm lying on my couch eating pineapple chunks (I'm not kidding), and holding my phone typing this comment so I can't so much fist pump and the 'woo' is out of the question because of the mouth full of pineapple thing but point is (yes, I do have one!), I'm really excited to see you cross over from Shassie reader to Shassie writer.

This was very sweet and fun and that's just my favortie kind of Shassie. It would be spammy to list everything I liked so I'll stick to my top three:

1) Lassiter's delayed reaction when Shawn kissed his cheek.
2) 'what the 4th is about' theme carried through the narative to the last line.
3) Buzz!

This is a great first fic, I'll look forward to your next one. Yes, there will be a next one. You'll think maybe there won't but once you start you can't stop. I know cause that's what happened to me.

Thanks, plainapple! That delayed reaction of Lassie's is what started the story for me. It just kept playing in my head on a loop until it fleshed itself out into this little oddness. :)

Thanks so much! I'm glad the fireworks angle worked - I was afraid it would be cheesy, but Shawn just kept talking about them in my head! :)

Your AN was hilarious, and a big reason to click on the link, but too self-deprecating! This was adorable and so in-character. I really like your Shawn- quirky and fun, but not too douchey. I also love your inclusion of Buzz.

I hope you write more Psych fic!

I really, really loved this. It was Lassie's kisses that did it for me. Sweet, but not too sweet to be unrealistic, and perfectly described. I've been reading slash for a long damn time, and I'm always thrilled when something pops out of a story that makes it seem fresh and new and shiny. The kisses made me sigh happily.
