Is it just an app issue? I haven't noticed it but I wonder if it's because I don't use the app (because I think it is trash)

The comments? Nah, that's something that's been going on for a few days. The app is just being a dick. I usually don't have problems with it, although there are definitely issues with it like not being able to detect tags and having to manually input them. That bugs the shit out of me for sure.
