I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS. Like, I knew nothing about this character prior to Netflix announcing it was doing a few Marvel side character shows. Daredevil was okay (sorry, peeps, I didn't think it was the best thing since sliced bread like so many others but it was okay), and of course I like the big screen stuff and Agents of SHIELD.

Daredevil isn't super great, but it is stepping in a direction that I like? But yeah, Jessica Jones! At the least, it looks like it's taking the same general path as Daredevil (I'm 99% sure that they actually occupy the same city, or very close cities) and running with it even further.

I'M SUPER EXCITED FOR JESSICA JONES TOOOOOOOOOO. ZOMG.

I too didn't think Daredevil was the bees knees. It was alright and there were parts I really enjoyed - the show benefited a lot from Vincent D'onofrio's work; he definitely elevated the scripts and injected more into the story than was on the page. I'll watch the second season.

But when they announced the projects it was Jessica and Luke that I was most excited for. FINALLY A FEMALE-LED MARVEL THING.

I was surprised when they cast Ritter, she didn't seem the type (she'll always be Gia to me :P) but I had confidence in their choice. Marvel doesn't usually get their casting wrong. And I liked that she's "unconventional" - by Hollywood standards lol. And then when the first promos started coming out, I had no worries at all.

IM JUST SO EXCITED.
