I also removed Gotham from my pvr.

I watched the first four episodes and while I didn't dislike the show it didn't interest me in the least. It was a snoozefest for me. I also feel like the whole idea of the show getting darker and darker would be too much of a downer for me. I also found the lines and line delivery very... well, I guess TOO comic book-y. Does that make sense? It's a little too grand for my liking

Yeah I felt there was a weird clashing of tone with the police drama being played for all the super-serious gravities they could muster, but then the villains being really cartoony and hard to take seriously

Very much everything you said. I read a review at some point of the past couple days that kind of pointed out that there's quite a difference between Burton Batman and Nolan Batman and Gotham fits more with the Burton version so if you liked Burton you'll probably more likely enjoy Gotham. That's very true, at least in my case. I was much more of a fan of the Nolan version with the more gritty, realistic, human version of the movies.

Even the cityscapes during scene transitions bothered me with Gotham so it's for the best I give it up. Depending on how things play out by the end of the season I might marathon it but as of right now it's looking quite unlikely.

SO GOOD. Fox has new episodes of the Simpsons and (as far as I know) Family Guy on--why not BB?! They DO NOT put enough support behind that show! I want merch and everything!

I'd been debating whether to start Gotham but think I might give it a miss, I do keep meaning to give Reign a try some time though.

With Reign it's best if you don't go into it expecting 100% historical accuracy (YOU MEAN THE CW DOESN'T DO THINGS BY THE BOOK?!). It's very much a soap opera but it moves quickly, the plots are relatively interesting and the actual LOOK of the show (characters, costumes, scenery, etc) is gorgeous. Well worth it. Especially if you marathon it or do it in chunks at a time so you don't have time to dwell too much on the things that don't make sense, LOL.

ALSO there IS a love triangle but it get resolved quickly and doesn't become an issue, which is SUCH A RELIEF. Even the cast has expressed that.

I'm sticking with Gotham for now because although it's not what I was expecting I don't actively dislike it.

The Flash is a lot of fun so far. I like the grittier take on some superheroes, but being silly seems more true to Barry Allen's nature.

How To Get Away With Murder is my favorite new show this year. There's been some really powerful moments already and I have a new appreciation for Viola Davis.

I think I'm liking Barry most of all from The Flash and he's what's keeping me watching right now. I don't have much to say about the team helping him, like the two lab assistants (especially Danielle Panabaker who I don't have an issue with and even like but she's such an expositionary bitch in the show. GIVE her something to do but be a bummer!) and even his bff who he's in love with. For such a "smart girl" she's actually pretty dumb.

I'm happy Jesse Jackson is involved, though! He's awesome and I'm really happy he's known from the get go abou Barry.

Something about Tom Cavanaugh makes me want to slap his face, though, and I don't think it has to do with his character. *shrugs*
