Frabjous! I love how so much of Sam's torment here foreshadows what he'll endure in Mordor; one can almost imagine him on the slopes of Orodruin, thinking, "Well, I survived that time down in the hole, and I can just as well survive this."
Yes, you'll get a few more Mordor echoes later on. I like to have traumatic events in the hobbits' past foreshadow their later ordeals. Why? Because I am just a big nut. Thanks for reading!
