Read the last two parts back to back. I loved this, me dear, I think you succeeded very well in advancing their friendship.

And that gets a great big "Awwwwwww!" from me.

(The whole story was awesome, too!)

I hope you plan on writing more Trek! (I watched the DVD last night and kept hearing Pine and Quinto and Saldana saying your lines in my head!)

On a side note:

Have you seen these wonderful animations the complement the Beatles Rock Band game?

Tell me the second one doesn't break your heart!

Those Beatles links are great! I so enjoyed that. The early Beatles' fans running right past the Abbey Road Beatles got a huge laugh out of me. The gorgeous animation starting with the "Here Comes the Sun" song really blew me away. Wonderful stuff. Thanks so much for sharing that!

I'm working on a new S/U fic at the moment, back in their Academy days. I call it "Fluff with Violence". No merit whatsoever. But it makes for a nice distraction from work. :)

Thanks again!

That was a perfect ending.

There is no more perfect gift that Spock could ever have been given. It would definitely earn Kirk a considerable amount of Brownie points!

I'm looking forward to the next story! :)

Well, Kirk needed some Brownie points to make up for his deficit. :)

I view Jim Kirk as very much a work in progress, but with a good heart. Hence his gift. Go, Jimmie boy! You can do it. :)

Thanks for reading.

OK I take it all back, Kirk is not just a buffoon he is a kind, well meaning, considerate buffoon! lol Tho if I were Uhura I would threaten him with haressment charges every time he opened his mouth.....

Excellent definition! Yes, as I've said above, he's a work in progress. I hope I don't write him too unkindly, but in my view, he has a way to go (but is working on getting there). Thanks for all your comments!

awww that is one perfect closure...I love how the crew work around the clock to give Spock a surprise gift, his new family trying so hard to make him happy after his people wouldnt even let him step on the colony. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Cant wait for your next story...hope you'll give us an update on how Spock Prime managed to slip his *gasp* half-human sperm into the vulcan pool

What a sweet thought! They are, aren't they? Remember Amanda from TOS: "At home nowhere, except Starfleet." This _is_ Spock's home, the only one he'll really ever have. *sniff*

The next story will go back to the Academy, but we'll see if I decide to pick up Spock Prime at some point in the future. Thanks for all your comments!
