Do you have photos of your collection, btw? I am curious as to whether your national dolls are the same as the type I had as a little girl ("had" being the operative term, as I never did grasp the "looking at" distinction).

I can take pictures once stuff is rescued from storage (the dolls are in a very clearly labeled box, and are individually labelled, so it wouldn't be too difficult to find.)

And yes, Google has rescued me once again. This is Finlandia, although mine has a nicer expression on her face.
And -- :: blinks :: She's actually selling for 26 dollars? That's a shock. Although that Finlandia is probably in better condition than mine, and she doesn't have her sisters with her which seems wrong.
The Firenze that store is selling is not my Firenze, though. My Firenze has a green dress which is not nearly as fancy.

I suspect most of the cheap plastic ones will be underwhelming :) I may not have physically played with them but they were not designed to last. My later dolls, though, many of which are spectacularly gorgeous -- especially those from Thailand and India - should photograph well.
