Cool! Mountain dulcimer is a string instrument I've never tried. Perhaps you'll record yourself someday and put it on YouTube...?

Heh. I doubt it - this is just for fun and to give me the chance to play something at need. I doubt I'll be practicing enough to get good enough for a YouTube video - that is, one that isn't humiliating.

You might want to give it a try, though. It seems easier than other string instruments, at least so far. Not that I'm trying anything particularly dazzling yet - "Oh Susanna" only has five notes :)

When it was my job, I used to take playing music as seriously as I take fiction-writing now. Now I just play for personal enjoyment, or for fun as they say. Glad you're doing the same. :-)

What happened to the harp idea? Not that I think the dulcimer is a bad idea I was just wondering.
