I have to get off the computer right now for the sake of someone else in this apartment, but I have to say, I am looking forward to reading about your experiences at a ballgame.
Even as someone who was never into professional sports, doesn't possibly care about anyone's batting average or any other stats, and so on, I've been surprised by how much I've enjoyed going to the occasional ball game. I thought that it was mostly because I'd gone to minor-league parks in Peoria and Memphis that are smaller and more intimate in scale and also more modern and built, in part, to accommodate kids and adults like me who aren't really that into the game, but I went to a Cards game in the old Busch Stadium in St. Louis several years back (won tickets playing a video game in a bar) and had a pretty good time there, as well.
It always surprises me, because watching baseball on TV is generally incredibly boring - I think it's one of the worst sports to watch on the small screen, and you'd never know how entertaining it can be in real life.
oh, and I tend to prefer the smaller parks as well - one thing about the Wide World of Sports field is that it is small, which means that as good as our seat were, pretty much any of the seats would have given us a good view, unlike, say, the Marlins stadium, where with some of the seats you might as well not be there.
