Damn! I completely forget the launch time scheduling and went to bed a quarter-hour before the launch.

My dumb.

As for the mosquitoes...well, the bats need their daily protein intake, right?

If we had more bats around here I'd be more inclined to want to protect their food supply, but we don't and the few we have are doing a very inadequate job of culling the mosquito population. AUUGH.

Although mostly this is because we are right next to a very very large lake.

It's an impressive sight. It always reminds me of Thunderbirds and how Thunderbird One use to take off from beneath the swimming pool on Tracey island - I mean that in a good way :)

Oh, I heard about this on NPR!!! I just love the whole idea -- bringing a TREADMILL up to the SPACE STATION! which will be COMPLETE SOON!!!

Also -- Buffy Sainte-Marie was on this morning! She who taught Big Bird how to breast feed, and who sings BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE with the force of a hurricane. Oh, help! So gorgeous! She has added verses to America the Beautiful for the first Native American astronaut going up to space...
