* Finally meander off to National Portrait Gallery, getting interrupted along the way by a vicious Starbucks kidnapping. This version of Orange Crème is coffee, not iced, but with a nice vanilla/orange tang to it. Wonder exactly what Starbucks is up to.

* See person who strongly resembles physical description of hummingwolf pass me at a rush. Later, find ( Read more... )

It won't happen, but wouldn't it be extraordinary to find out what I-95 is actually like when it's not constantly being rebuilt?

It would probably fall apart.

Well, I meant in the sense of crumbling into powder. It's not quite that bad yet.

It was fun spending the day with you guys! I wasn't at all horified by your reaction to the crinoids. Really.

Unfortunately, yet another person has learned what happens to me when the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams" comes on.

Is it similar to what happens to me when I hear the song "HippyChick" on the radio? because if it is, I'd really like to load Sweet Dreams onto my ipod for brunch tomorrow....

Ordinarily I do not like speaking for other people, but I think i can safely say that felisdemens would strongly suggest that you not play that song anyplace near me. She was trapped in a car and had no choice.

Pirates were actually only second in flight, because they had no motivation to fly until the Wright brothers' plane was up there with its treasures just waiting to be ransacked. They learned how to fly right away as soon as that happened. However, once they found out how difficult it is to board other people's planes in mid-flight, they got sick of it and went back to sailing. Nobody actually noticed or recorded the pirates' dabblings in aviation because the pirates gave it up so quickly, and the pirates never spoke of it themselves, because they never wanted to acknowledge the imperviousness of aviators to piratical doings.

I have a sudden vision of pirates swinging between those double winged World War I plans and swashbuckling swords on those flimsy little wings.
