I was wondering how long it was going to be before you mentioned a Heyer novel. Interestingly (is that a word?), The Talisman Ring was the first book of hers that I read. My cousin introduced her to me(she also introduce me to Elizabeth Peters). Unfortunately, I let someone borrow my Talisman Ring and I no longer have a copy! I have been searching for another copy but haven't found one yet. HOpefully it will be reprinted. What did Tepper write? I know I've read her but I don't remember her books. Did she write the weird dog book?
I realized after I wrote that it was a book by Robin McKinnely. It was a very weird fairy tail that had dogs. I loved Beauty but that was the only thing of hers that I liked.
Hmm. You should tag or put into memories all of your recommended book lists for people like me who may get the urge to try something new and have the time. Granted, I've no idea when this might happen in my case, but that's what the tags would be for; to make them easy to dig up. ;)
What, use Livejournal features for the benefit of others? Are you mad?
Frankly, although most of my LJ entries are written to amuse others, these were written for my benefit -- I'm going to be tracking this in another five years to look at the shift, and then I'll find the entries by the titles.
