John Barrowman sexing out of his eyes, the show ramped up the tension and the stakes and Oliver shot Roy in the leg, yay!
To be fair, I've wanted to shoot Roy, too. And John B makes everything better...

I feel many of us have wanted to shoot Roy.

Though at least the show gives him something to do and he's trying to be a hero. So I'll give him that. And I'm guessing that the Oliver shooting Roy bit was less to make the audience go "YAY!" and more to show that Oliver is still suffering from serious anger issues/PTSD, because, you know, fighting the super strong guy and getting knocked out wasn't really showing that enough.

I got to interview one of the actors on the old Flash show and he said CBS word to the producers (whether sincere or not) was that the network never figured out whether the target audience should be geeks, kids, woman who liked Barry's bod (I knew a few).

That seems plausible. The constant rescheduling the network put the show through couldn't have helped either. Nobody ever knew when it was on.

I have the DVDs somewhere so I expect I'll end up doing a rewatch before the new Flash show starts up next season.

I rewatched it a while ago. Enjoyed it on second viewing. I'll be interested to see where the new one goes.

I'm cautiously optimistic. The actor was cute and pretty persuasive in all the bits that weren't massively pushing the HELLO I AM ROMANTIC RIVAL thing, and if they continue the fun bits of showing lightning behind him it could be a lot of fun.
