One of these days (this year) I'll post about my experiences with Scientology up in the NW. I got roped in by a "friend" to take a test one day in 1984 or so, totally unsuspecting.
It took me years of moving and not leaving forwarding addresses with the PO (just being careful to tell everyone and everything I knew but them) to stop getting TONS of mail from them. Sometimes 3-6 pieces of mail a day 3 or 4 days a week.
But that was nothing like the creepy, stalky letters I received for the first two years.
They lost my trail sometime in the nineties.
Then they found me again in 2007 all of a sudden, but I lost them again in my next move.
But the story of the relationship with the woman who started all this is interesting. I'll write about it sometime this year when I have a little time. It's creepy, weird, and very sad.
