....redeemed itself after a lackluster season with a spectacularly improbable season finale with a happy ending. And now that that's been resolved, show, can you return to your silly, mind candy roots and knock off the conspiracy theory stuff? You have no idea how to do it.

I quite liked this season, actually, because while the conspiracy thing is a big whyyyy I think the show kicked ass on the portrayal of PTS and relationship struggles. And I'm impressed they straight up changed a major aspect of the premise in the finale.

Also I will forgive a lot of stupid conspiracy episdoes next season if they have Helo as their focus, because bwahahah.

I was ok with the PTS bit, and glad they decided to tackle that head on rather than just assuming that Beckett would pop up and be all cheerful after getting shot in the chest.

But I missed the pure fun of the earlier seasons, and I am more than bored with the who killed Beckett's mother storyline. I'm hoping now they can focus on the flirting and fun within the relationship -- and the issues with trying to be in a relationship with someone you work with, especially since the job has the potential for genuine danger -- but, still keep things light and fun. And no more who killed my mother stuff, because the show is just not good at that.
