S, C and I are off for Gen Con tomorrow, which means my access to and time on the internet will be greatly limited for a week or so. So, some small things before I go, in case I don't get around to it tomorrow

Alas, even if the hotel and convention center allowed cats, I'm not sure if S and C can deal with that much affection from the cat when they're trying to head out to the game :), or on the drive up there. The cat loves both of them in a very real and I am sorry to say not entirely reciprocated manner.
It has been my practice to take the Monster to Boarding School prior to packing, where practical. It got too heartbreaking to see him sniff the suitcase / backpack and then sit inside it expectantly.
Unfortunately, I can't really take the Grey One for boarding unless it is absolutely, positively necessary. She doesn't deal well with strangers - people or cats - she loses fur and often throws up every time someone new or even slightly well known just enters the house for a bit. The change in personality from drama queen when it's just the usual household to trembling and vanished ball of fur is fairly extreme. It's a pity because she really is a beautiful if overly dramatic cat, and right now is showing her better qualities by sleeping in a small grey ball right behind my head. And while I suspect she wouldn't be all that upset if I took the Little One away, they do sleep and play together a lot.
They also weren't THAT deserted - my brother was around in the evenings and they had the fish, plus the two cats that make regular visits to our windows. The main problem is that my brother won't let the Little One sleep on him at night and the Little One does not understand this.

I'm out of town on vacation, and I miss my highly affectionate cat. I hope he doesn't think he's been deserted forever.
