Oh man. I am in mourning. My bike got stolen yesterday. I'd been riding almost every day for more than three years! Auugghhh you guys I am DEVASTATED. This is what it looked like:

having COMPLETELY forgotten our earlier conversation, my first reaction was 'I DIDN'T TAKE IT!!'
I'm really sorry that your bike got stolen. That really, really stinks. I just went on my first bike ride of the snow free season yesterday (even though we still have snow) and my butt hurts SO BAD.
I have an extra bike, and if you were here, you could have it. It isn't as cute as your old bike though.
I think it's totally reasonable for you to be upset as well.

it would have been pretty funny if you HAD taken it... i would have given you kudos for effort alone.
i get a sore bum too! used to have an excellent & comfy leather saddle that moulded to my big ol behind but it got stolen.

sorry about the bike, that sucks.

i haven't lived in a commune but i would like to. i want to buy a big house with land with some other people, maybe some families with kids. it seems kind of bizarre and counterintuitive to me NOT to bring kids up in a communal environment, even though my own childhood was very isolated. i also have a friend who is bahai (spelling?) and he grew up on a big commune, and loved it, and loves it still.

yeah i must admit, even though i do not plan on having kids for a long time (& would be financially incapable of supporting them anyway), one of my thoughts about the community was 'hmmm... maybe my kids could grow up there and have an awesome extended family!'
