oh man, my things would be SO different!!

Mostly, I'd make sure I was bundled up, even if it were summer. I'd have a coat and maybe a blanket. I'd have a hefty bag of food. I'd have water and lighters, and even though it's silly, I'd probably grab the flares that are in my house (I don't know why, though).
I'd grab a toothbrush and toothpaste and dental floss. I'd grab a pot to cook in and a fork. I'd grab my sleeping bag and I'd grab a knife. I'd grab my bear bell

haha yes your list is definitely more sensible! i suppose i interpreted the question as asking what has the most sentimental value/what couldn't you live without, in a situation where you're guaranteed to survive. if the world was literally ending and i thought i might die, obviously i'd take my torch, a knife, food, boots etc.
i had no idea such thing as a bear bell existed

I think I took it both ways and realized that I can't think of anything in my world that I would be that upset to lose (at least in a totally reasonable 'losing everything' kind of situation -- obviously if someone came into my home and broke or stole all of my things of value, it would be a different thing)

I guess if you live in a place without bears, you wouldn't need a bear bell. But we've got hella bears (even in the city!) and so a bear bell is just prudent in the summer, unless you're really loud and with a friend. I'm pretty loud in general, so usually forget my bear bell, but that's probably still a folly when I'm alone!
