I never had this problem with SPN fic

The problem with trying to write plotty comics fanfic (well, mainstream superhero comics, anyway) is that you're stuck with a lot villains who have really silly names. Like, here I am trying to write a tense a dramatic scene where Our Noble Hero is menaced by the Evil Dastardly Villain, and I'm stuck having to write sentences like "Red Skull said ( Read more... )

Hee! At least it's somewhat balanced - the heroes have pretty silly names too.

Well, at least the heroes have regular names they often use when talking to each other or thinking about themselves. I throw in an occasinal "Iron Man" or "Captain America" for color, but mostly it's Steve and Tony.

Technically, Red Skull has a regular name too, but no one ever uses it, and at the time my story is set, no one would even know what it is. So I'm stuck. :-P

True. But now I'm trying to imagine reading a PWP which uses no names except Iron Man and Captain America, and I can't stop giggling at how that would read. I can't help but think "Yes, Captain America, harder, yes," would kill any kind of mood. :D

Hee. The name "Iron Man" takes on a whole new meaning in the context of a porny PWP, doesn't it?

There used to be a Disney Channel cartoon where the villain was named Dark Lord Chuckles the Silly Piggy.

That's only slightly less silly than Red Skull.

:D!

...sorry, I'm just excited that Red Skull is going to be menacing one of our heroes soon in the story. :D?

Well, c'mon, how could I possibly write a WWII-era Steve/Tony story and not bring Red Skull into it? I'd have to turn in my fangirl card.

This is true! I'm not shocked or anything, but I am still super-excited. I love when people menace my heroes. :D

Red Skull isn't even too bad, considering! He could be fighting The Fin and the Whizzer! Or Priapus!
