Back in the early 90's, a bunch of my geeky friends in NYC -- drewshi, kradical, popfiend, jafinnola and the Lipchick -- did a public-acess talk show called The Chronic Rift, where they and various guests chatted about all sorts of pop culture-related things, with an emphasis on genre stuff. I got to be on the show a couple of times as a guest, and it was always great fun

That sounds like it was a lot of fun! And listening to the podcast made me feel nostalgic for the early days of fandom.
