This is one of my favorite poems ever, but I didn't own a copy for the longest time, because Amy Lowell books are so hard to find. Then The Boy gave me a first edition of What O'clock for the holidays, so now I can share.

I read some Amy Lowell years ago, and had quite forgotten her. I didn't know this poem, and was delighted to read it. Much gratitude.
And happy springtime, joyous Passover, much love.

I think the one Amy Lowell poem most people know (if they know any at all) is "Patterns." Which is great, but she's written lots of other great stuff.

I just read "Patterns" on your recommendation. Yowza! I now have several of her books on reserve. Thanks for the heads-up!

Yay for spreading the Amy love!
I think she's a gorgeous, fabulous, criminally underappreciated poet, and I try to get people to read her whenever I can.
