Wow, Republic Wireless sounds awesome. But I'm on a family plan with my parents. Free phone stuff! So I don't even bother. Haha.

Yeah, I'm actually really excited about the prospect that Republic Wireless can bring to the cellular world. Of course, after seeing what I *could* be paying sort of soured me for the $80 I was paying a month for essentially the same thing. I'm not a big talker, and don't need to be a big texter, so this is more an experiment than anything in the holding pattern.

Companies enjoy ripping out kneecaps. There's no reason why you should pay nearly $80 for a service, when even T-Mobile now is offering a no-contract, unlimited minutes, data and text for $50. Which seems more reasonable, but then you find those pre-paid deals, and THAT becomes more reasonable. It all depends on your usage.

It's ridiculous how little I use my phone now. Do I miss the alerts when I have emails? Kind of, but not enough to get it back. Have I stopped texting as much as I used to? Probably. Twitter? Just use it on the computer(s) I'm around all day, every day of the week.

This is kind of ridiculous how much cheaper it is.

I'd probably do the T-Mobile, but the service here is horrible, almost as bad as Verizon. But would I do it now? Nope, because what I have fulfills my needs - new needs that I've forced myself in to but work for me.
