The devil beating his wife??? What on earth? I never heard that before and am afraid I can't parse it down to its context. Can you explain the logic of it to me?
Otherwise, I sat here listening and loving this too much. Oh if I could do this all day long as a job as a research assistant I would love love love it.
Plus I love your voice, and the way you say words that start with "A" (which is why I still keep one of your old messages on my phone to listen to you say "This is AYndrew" from time to time. Weird? Yes. Creepy, I hope not.) Frankly, this post just made my day.
An old southern-born woman told me that adage. Apparently since you're getting the sun AND the rain, the devil was angry because you're being doubly blessed. I didn't know what to call it before she told me that and it just stuck.
Yeah? What does my voice tell you about me? Do I sound like I'm from Kentucky?
I never thought my voice was anything stellar, but when I listened to the recording, I definitely sound different than I hear myself sounding, but that's pretty typical, I think.
Not creepy. And I'm glad. you should do it to, just for the fact that your friends may join and then you could have a full page of voice posts.
Oh, okay, I see. We pronounce a lot of words differently, don't we? And you're from Kentucky and I'm a Virginian...we do have a common border, but speech is a good bit different between us. "Roof," "coupon," New Orleans," and "probably" (I leave out "spitting" because you were enunciating more carefully than me) and some others. Interesting. Actually, I'm not sure I've ever heard "Q-pon" before.
