No, not yet... marina_wolf September 28 2006, 14:48:49 UTC
The woman who gave us the sheep is considering giving us the Guard Donkey. Her husband and daughter want to keep him, but aren't willing to take care of it.

If we don't get Hercules, we'll be looking for one. Or maybe a llama.

Go with the llama. They spit, but they don't bite. Oh, and llama yarn.

and of course, http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/llama.php

Too hairy.

Borrowed the picture...we didn't bring the camera with us. I keep forgetting to document these sorts of things. I make for a crappy blogger.

Y'know, this may be the only time I'll ever say this about a donkey:
Awww, CUTE!

Gee thanks... marina_wolf September 28 2006, 14:58:48 UTC
Nice to see you're feelling well enough to mock my pain.

;)

Yeah, the one in the borrowed pic is cute. The one that made a snack out of my hand is the same color, but taller and with a bigger butt.

Sorry. The pic is cute... :) Biting donkeys ain't good, though. My guess would be to go with one of the previous suggestions: thump him on the head/between the eyes. I've heard of that being used with misbehaving horses, but I have no direct experience to back that up.

Hope your hand feels better. *hug*
