Sequel on the gender issues

I have to say more on the subject, because the more I read on it, the more fascinated I become. I just finished chapter 4 of my textbook "Gender: Psychological perspectives", Linda Brannon, Boston: Pearson Education, 2005. It is about Intelligence and Cognitive Abilities.
As I had mentioned before, there are theories that claim that the brains of ( Read more... )

Thanks for the appreciation!
High-functioning autism? Hm, we have been told about autism in university, but not this kind. I guess this proves that autism has little to do with intelligence. Hey, we should have been told!!! Why weren't we? I found an article about it in Wikipedia. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-functioning_autism.) If this why you devaluate yourself sometimes, you should read it. It might make your day. It has its benefits, it seems. Good spatial abilities and photographic memory are a gift and it doesn't matter why you have them. Just take advantage of them! And if they tell you that you have a male brain, well, so what? At least you have one and I have seen you are interested in many things, so apparently you use it well.
Yes, of course you can pimp the entry.

Wow. That's a great post. +1

I agree with the culture thing. I mean, isn't it in Greece where guys have that day they just act like animals and the women look on in disgust (and maybe even fear)? You wouldn't get that crap in America, at least not in public.

I remember working on a novella set in the far future, when overpopulation was rampant. The government decided to take a woman and a man and mix them together, merging everyone into androgynous beings. Your post has encouraged me to revisit the idea, and at least finish the first draft. Thanks!

Ahem... Greeks... Yeah, a big percentage of them are pigs who still live in the 19th century. But the women, well, some of them look in disgust (me, for example...) and others think that greeks are the "real" men. Whatever... I don't know if they fear them, though. But it could be true that some women are stimulated by fear. (I have no respect at all for women who use terms like "real man" or men who use terms like "real woman" for that matter.) In any case, things are changing little by little.
I am very glad that you found the post interesting and inspiring! I decided to have a content with as much variety as possible, so it is normal that the entries will have different degrees of interest for various people.
