Global warming

Since this is the warmest winter I can remember I was wondering yesterday if there is anyone seriously concerned about the environment.
It seems that the Japanese for one are not particularly stressed. But they have their reasons.
The pace of global warming appears to be slowing and the slowdown is attributed to the La Nina phenomenon, which lowers ( Read more... )

*nods*

I've been panicking for a while.
Governments do nothing. I wonder if we'll reach the point of no return soon and if so, what will be done then... IF there is something that can be done.

>___< Such a stressful subject.

Well... It sounds like even if we don't do anything we will have to wait to see what kind of balance the Earth will set.
It seems also that some of the big heads who govern us do not hace kids.

Are you serious? D: I'm concerned yet I'm always on the comp so I feel bad? And it's supposed to be summer here but on the weekend it rained so much.. it felt like winter.

When an individual person feels concerned, well, he/she can dress a little more and use less heating when it's possible. And recycle of course. I think both all countries must set the right measures and individuals be resposnsible as well. Anyway...
A summer that feels like winter... That's not good either...

The term La Niña refers to the extensive cooling of the central and eastern Pacific Ocean.
It's the opposite of El Nino but it's not clear when one or the other happens... Maybe both and it all ends up chaotic.
Well... as long as you are not irresponsible it doesn't matter if you care or not... ^.^~

It's true that the climate changes by itself... I'd like to be able to think like you do... Climate adapts, people adapt. We'll be here to see what will happen.
