I bet that your town is like most other towns. If you call about a nuisance animal, they'll come out and set a trap. When the trap catches something, you call them, and they come pick it up. But with skunks.. when they get trapped, they get mad, and they spray. And then some poor village employee has to come and pick up the trap, startling the skunk, who sprays the poor guy who came to get the trap.. and then that poor guy has to put the trap in his truck, which ticks off the skunk again... you get the picture.

I'd say that as long as he's not living in your yard, you're better off just hoping he'll go away.

Yeah, true enough. As Himself would put it, how can you get mad at a skunk for doing what skunks do? He's harmless, cute, and doesn't stink unless he gets scared.

Heck, I can think of people who don't measure up to those criteria...
