the problem with leftovers

So last night I was pondering, as I’ve had occasion to off and on over the last 2 months, just what the heck I should do with this five-pound canister of leftover Lochlainn.

Weird stuff it is for sure. I helped Merril sprinkle her mother's ashes over her father's grave. I was actually surprised at how *little* there was, although granted her mother was very thin and frail, with very little bone mass, so I guess that would have been the varience from the standard formula.

Hmmm, 6 to 7 pounds: starting to sound like gritting the driveway come winter is a distinct possibility. ^_^

We put him in the long boat until he's sober, of course. Or he re solidifies, which ever happens later. ;)

I've gotten squirmier over something as I've gotten older, but for some reason, I've gotten more "oh, interesting" about other. I've heard a lot about cremation, and for some reason, it doesn't creep me out.

Personally, I think you should make a candle out of him. That was he can still be 'lit' from time to time. ;)

OK - that's just kinda neat. I have vaguely wondered from time to time....

Carbonates. Hmm. Carbonates........ I don't recall my chemistry too well, but could it be calcined at higher temperature to make crude portland cement? Presents other possibilities at that point.

It did occur to me to mix 'em into the concrete for repairing that last section of foundation... But he wanted so badly to get rid of this house that affixing him permanently to it would guarantee I'd get haunted! 8D

On the other hand, if one of us ever gets the chance to build a house, I'm sure he'd do his damnedest to hold the cornerstone secure.
