Can I Just Say...

....how incredibly lucky some of the contestants on "Match Game" are? I've noticed that if they choose Richard for the $5000 question, and if they match his answer, he'll sign the card for them and let them keep it. Mom pointed out to me that so many of the female contestants choose him for those questions. I wonder why? ;) Now I want to invent a ( Read more... )

I'll make sure that it can hold at least two people, if not more. ;)

LOL hey that's my dream. I have wanted to go back to the 70's to be on Match Game forever. And I would rather get a kiss from Richard on Match Game then Feud because you actually have to somewhat earn it by matching him. :)

Scroll down this page a contestant Ron Valenti (many of the guys picked Richard too) scanned his winning cards one of them signed by Richard.

Thanks for posting that link of his card! :) Now I finally get to see what his signature looks like. *squee*

Well, Match Game would be second on my list through time. My first dream will always be to see The Beatles play at the Cavern Club, or another pivotal moment in their history. Maybe I'll go back in 1967- Sgt. Pepper, Summer of Love, and HH live on TV wrapped up all-in-one sounds just wonderful! :)

Earning the kiss would be good, but I would rather have it be guaranteed- so, Feud's kiss for me please.

Actually I might have to agree with you about seeing the Beatles live as something even more important to travel back in time for. I was a Beatles fan far longer than a Match Game fan since I was 4 maybe even before but I can't remember anything before that. Oh well if you have a time machine you should be able to do both. XD

Nah I would definitely like to work for it. Although even on Match Game Richard would kiss a girl if she asked. I don't think he would ever refuse lol.

My mother raised me on Beatles music when I was younger, but I mostly forgot about it until Jr. High. I remember one day in fifth grade, our music teacher put on "Rock Around the Clock" for us. Up until that time I had never remembered listening to any music that made me fay the way Haley's song did; that song will always hold a special place in my heart for that reason. The next day, she put on "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B," which I equally love. :) So, I've loved The Beatles for many years now, while I only fell in love with Richard, in all his series, last summer. So yes, I have quite a time-machine list. ;)

Oh, ok. So, winning his signature and asking for his kiss works for me!

That it would have been. Man, I feel young- I was nowhere *near* being born when the show was on! Though, in my teens, my favorite game show was watching Regis Philbin hosting "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" I never won, but it was still great fun to play with Mom. Now, we play "Match Game" together. :)

On Family Feud, if your family won over $25,000, he signed a little cardboard plaque with the money on it, so that's another way to "earn" it. XD

I don't know, for some reason, I prefer FF to MG--I guess because it's all Richard, all show long, instead of him having to share the spotlight with five other people. XD

One of these days I am going to do a post on why I prefer Richard himself on Match Game more than Feud. I do love him on Feud too but I actually think he lost something when he left Match Game (although Match Game lost something too).

I wonder what you mean by "lost something?" He seems to be in top form on both shows. *Insert quizzical expression here*

Do you think you could take along another passenger in your time machine? Pwetty please with more sugar on top than even LeBeau could spare? Maybe we could share the costs or something?

Though I’d probably be too scared to actually become a contestant on Match Game as I would faint dead away the moment that Richard would start to talk ;) But a seat in the first row would be more than sufficient, really.
But the Cavern during the early 1960s?! This would be even greater than, say, Shea Stadium, since you’d actually be able to *hear* them ;)

Ok, I'll make it big enough for at least three people. Besides, somebody has to remember to bring LeBeau a new supply of sugar. ;)

I think it would be hard not to become totally speechless, or completely animated, by talking to or seeing Richard. We could help each other out in that regard. :)
Oh yes. In fact, I heard that Linda was at the Shea Stadium concert with her sister, who was the bigger Beatles fan at the time. She later said that she was upset that she couldn't hear the band.
