[Flying] By the Seat of my Pants

Let me know what it's like when it comes in!

Haptic feedback is pretty incredible stuff that I'm only beginning to understand. It can be simple things, like how the button on my iphone doesn't move, but for months I thought it did because the vibration it provided mimics the sensation of pushing down on a button.

Or, there's the PS5 controllers, which have a lot more haptic feedback built into them than prior controllers. In a demo game that comes with the system you play a platformer game where it rains on your character, and you can feel the droplets sprinkling around on the controller while you hold it. Then it gets cold and the rain turns to hail, and you can feel the difference as the soft droplets get a clinking edge to them as they "land" on your hands.

We've come a long way since that optional "rumble pack" you could attach to the Nintendo 64 controller.
