I’ve been quiet for two weeks! And I was on a posting roll for a while. Sigh.

So, I went to Vegas for one weekend, for my brother’s 30th birthday. That was fun, being the first time I actually gambled there.

And I worked during the weeks, of course. At least until last Wednesday, when I was felled by the dreaded flu that’s going around. I was home ( Read more... )

In the final pages of World War Z.

Found these.

Have a sinus headache that has killed personal pronouns.

Have commissioned art.

Have plotted games that end in invitations and directions to parties. \o/

Have written nothing but silliness all day, but it's wonderful silliness.

Have been painting another dreaded box.

Have been fretting about garb.

Have been trying to walk and get away from my desk during the day.

Have plotted running away and joining the circus, but they don't get wifi, so plans were foiled.

Also, set myself cryptic email as I was drifting off to sleep re: old story that seems to be bubbling to surface again.

Have weird, will travel.

What book is next?

Look for the Escape Pod and StarShip Sofa podcasts!

Why fret about garb? I saw your closet...

I have to finish Day Watch. The first half was a gut shot. I also have Old Man's War and the other Tor free books to read.

Of all that garb, half is Wolf's, and the other half, I don't fit anymore. :\

Been to class. Been to Starkhafn. Sung the Caidan Fighter Song another dozen times. Laughingly threatened to sing the Caidan Kids' Song, but refrained, several times. Listened to Danny Maseng's "Wasting Time with Harry Davidowitz" back to back, all day today. Memorized "The Lion, the Eagle, and the Dove," planning to sing it to little Roo as often as possible. Cleaned up Coffee Bar of Splendoor, which sat ignored in my kitchen since Estrella, went to Arts and Archery, and came back to my kitchen to sit ignored. Organized lots of little details on lyondemere.org, noecollege.org, and canyontheatre.org. Finished an arts log for February. Made resolutions about research and arts for March.

Sigh. I love "Wasting Time". It's the cd I listen to the most, I think.

What are your resolutions? If you want to share.

Resolutions: http://www.journalscape.com/cayswann/2008-03-06-20:10#lessons

* Do a minimum 1-hour-research-per-week for March
* Concentrate on Pentathlon issues
* Check the "all my arts" list, look for high-priority items, add them to the "travels with me every" bag so I can work on them

Me? :)

I've been trying to keep on top of a lot of things. They changed my work experience thing a little, so now I'm not working at the Visually Impaired Person's Center anymlore.

My DBS counsellor has been pushing me to find a place to get more independent living stuff (budgetting vocational exploration, that sort of thing) and I found the place where I want to go.

Other than that, it's the same stuff I'm usually in for. Role play, guitar and voice lessons, going to the Manna Reading center. ;)

It's good to see you posting again!

That's great!

I've been meaning to tell you to listen to the (now broken-up) Celtic music ensemble called "Clandestine". I think you'll really like them. You can hear some of their clips on this page: http://www.clandestineceltic.com/themusic.html

Their vocalists are simply phenomenal, unbelievable, and beautiful.. too bad the clips are mostly instrumental. I'll email you an mp3 or two later if I remember.

Ok, I usually don't do this sort of thing because my screen reader doesn't handle it all too well, but just this once....

<3 <3 <3!!

I really do like a lot! :) Even the instrumental stuff is amazing. And that little taste of harmony on Cannonball makes me want to snag CD's. I should put this on my want list. lol

Thank you for sharing it. ::hugs::
