Is anyone going to Wincon this year? Or been to any fan-run conventions at all? It sounds like it would be really fun, but at the same time I think I'd be too nervous

BUT IT'S SO FAR AWAAAAY /sob we should have a hoodie_time convention! Jensen is the special guest and we dress him in various hoodies. Also we will invite writers and camera people so they can answer interesting questions and some female actors that are not seb roche.
Well, what I gathered from it is that a lot of people are going to wincon and it helps if you are not only there for the gen and know some people to meet up with.

WE CAN SIT AND DRINK AND TALK ABOUT H/C FOR HOURS ON END, THEN WRITE LOTS OF FIC AND THEN DRINK SOME MORE.
I've had some bad experiences with this type of thing, and I'd be putting a lot out there to essentially go by myself. I'd have to trust that people would be open and friendly - not that I don't, but I also recognize that most of the people going know each other and have their own little cliques (not out of malice! but it's just how it happens.) so I don't think I'd go unless I knew of someone for sure who would like, room with me and stuff. XD
