It took a few months to finally release this but I'm finally finished with the second chapter of Dark Scribe and ready to get to work on this series in earnest now that A Night to Remember is almost done! In any case, though this chapter is a little slower than the first one, I had a great deal of fun laying out more of the hopeless backdrop of

And Jo...she's simply the usual Jo,the Jo that we (and hopefully Teddy)still love...
ps:I send you a message with the "things" you requested-they're for you,I will not publish them on my journal...an exclusive for my favourite fanfic writer!

And Jo will always and forever be Jo, glaring faults, strange virtues and all. As to whether or not Laurie will still love that about her... well, you'll have to keep on reading to see, dear. ;)
And darling, THANK YOU for those lovely icons! I need to go add some onto my account right now. You are a heart and a love and the next chapter will be dedicated to you absolutely. ♥

Good gracious, this made my day. It's so very, very good. I don't think I'll ever get tired of reading your Jo. She's so entertaining and so perfectly cannon. Amy was great too. I really like her as a bohemian. And I also like the fact that she pulls Jo's hair to get what she wants. That's the Amy we all know and love.
I am waiting for the next update. Because I want Laurie and Jo. In this strange Batman predicament you've put them in.
Your mind may be a deeply strange one for this. But I am deeply fond of it.

And Jo is so much fun to write I hope people never get tired of my version of her! I love highlighting her flaws more than anything else-- it makes her so damn real to me, you know? And believe me, in the next update, you will get to see PLENTY of Jo and Laurie. Their relationship and its evolution is the main highlight of this fic. I can't wait to build it up...

Newsies is one of those things that you either love or hate. And it is often a very fine line. I happen to did the bad singing, cheesy plotlines, and strange dancing endearing. But it can be deeply obnoxious if that isn't your cup of tea.
I love your Jo. I have a ridiculous sort of non-sexual, fictional crush on her.
Oh thank god, I've been waiting for the Batman!Teddy/NellieBly!Jo action since I read the first instalment. I'm more excited then I care to admit, honestly.
I'm hoping to get on AIM at about 12 12:30, if you will be on it'll be great to talk to you!

And Jo is and has always been one of my favorite heroines of literature, trumped perhaps only by Anne of Avonlea and Elizabeth Bennett. I'm so pleased you like her so much! And let's face it-- she's so kick-ass, who wouldn't love her? Although I happen to think Louisa May eventually gave her a fate much more boring than she deserved. :(
I will definitely be on by then. Send me an email when you get on, dear, and I'll hop to it!

I like Amy, and I like that she has a Laurie of her very own.

Did you-? DID YOU JUST TURN AMY AND LAURA INTO LESBIANS?! You did! You asked me for help with Laurie and you didn't even mention this? How dare you! I love out-of-the-blue slash pairings and I love what you've done to Amy. But SERIOUSLY, TELL ME next time. I'm crying on the inside.
"like a cross between a missionary and a man-eater."
No. Nuh-uh. You don't put homely women in fabulously smoking attire and not describe it better. At least, not around me. Deeeetaaaailllls woman. Normally intellectual women are hot enough, but attire like this? Don't spare the lace!

And I must admit, I know very little about Jo's attire myself. I'm not very fashionable so all I can say for sure about her outfit is that it has cleavage, and LOTS of it. Amy was taking no chances whatsoever about attracting Laurie's attention to her sister's assets, ifyaknowwhatimean and ithinkyado. A nun that ran off to be a whore and changed only halfway indeed!
Thanks again for the help, lovely. I shall see you soon on aim, I hope?

And I'm glad you enjoyed Jo and Amy! Jo is always just so much fun to write-- I love ballsy women with an edge-- and getting to write an Amy March that DOESN'T turn into a perfect trophy wife restores the fun of the original character for me. Plus... I get to add surprise lesbianism. Always a fun thing. ;)
And Laurie will most DEFINITELY finally appear next chapter, which is practically already done and will hopefully be up by next weekend. I'm not sure how much Batmanning he can do yet, however, considering how well Jo stays on top of things. Maybe he can assist with disposing of a villian eventually...?

And you can actually see the Little Women movie on youtube, along with a scary amount of other Christian Bale movies. (Seriously, there's Equilibrium, Newsies, Midsummer Night's Dream, Swing Kids... practically half of his playlist.) It's a fantastic movie and Jo and Laurie have amazing chemistry with each other.
The movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJk_Bv8Lt6s
And of course, the most heart-breaking scene is when Jo turns down Laurie for no good reason whatsoever. ::sigh::

And that kiss their share! Ugh, there's so much chemistry there it's maddening they ended up apart later. :(
