Y'know what? Life is pretty damn good now. I'm in Chicago, I just passed a wonderful day outside in the unseasonably lovely weather with astrangerenters, digitaltart, lindensphinx and newredshoes by my side, I'm getting along perfectly well with my husband (as arranged marriage couples go, we're thankfully more Ashe/Rasler than Ovelia/Delita!) and life is generally peachy keen for me. Y'know, honestly, I've tried and failed to imagine a scenario where Vaan and Ashe could plausibly live happily ever after, I really, really have. I mean... I could see them having a fling once Vaan's older and more mature and has something more to offer to the table than boyish enthusiasm. But like you said, I just can't see him settling down to be the King of Dalmasca, or what have you. And I find it impossible to think of Ashe seriously considering him for the role either. Vaan is a lot of great things but a monarch... no. So totally not a role he could ever play.

And the next chapter of Knots is being pretty, well, knotty and I've got to try and unravel it soon enough. And as for the other plot developments and the possibility of Vayne ever meeting Penelo... well, you'll have to wait and find out. ;)

Also, that request sounds interesting (I've always wanted to write Penelo, and all my ideas for her seem somewhat depressing anyway), but I have no idea how the hell that would actually work! Probably an AU of some kind...??

And to write any sort of Vayne/Penelo/Larsa (or even any story where Vayne and Penelo have any plausible interactions), you'd probably need to write an AU of some sort, yes. Maybe a Vayne!Triumphs! AU (ala Imprint) or an AU where Larsa spirits Penelo off to Archades after he meets her in Bhujerba (which... is also like Imprint, actually) or... well, something of that sort. In any case, I don't much envy Penelo when she meets a very, very protective Vayne, do you? Larsa must have inherited his crazy eyes from somebody!

Not a big fan of either of this game's V's (Vaan or Vayne), but I could do my best if we can hook up on AIM. I'm going to be two hours behind you while your in Chicago, and three hours behind once you get back to New York, but I'll try to hop on earlier than usual should you need the assistance.

Basch/Lupin is waaaay too hot to resist for too long. They would totally have the politest sex scene between the two of them ever. ROTFL! XD You know I'm always up for anything with Basch/just-about-anyone. And this just sounds too funny to pass up.

And yes, I'm coming on quite late because I only get to go on when my husband's asleep! (Or rather, I CAN go on earlier but I feel a bit weird when he's up and walking around...) So I'll see if I can come and catch you sooner. ;)
