I would like to go through your library and would likely want to buy some books out of it. Not all, but certainly some.
It'd help a little.
As for the websites, from knowing people who sell books online for a (meagre) living, Amazon sells the fastest, but takes the biggest chunk. Half.com or Ebay (same owners, but different storefronts) also work.
Aah, that seems like a decent rule of thumb. I'm part of a different site like paperback swap already though (bookmooch) and the postage I paid in my first two weeks was kinda prohibitive.
I sold a bunch of books on Amazon, although it was a long time ago, before there were really too many other options. So maybe now there are better options? But selling on Amazon worked out perfectly fine for me.
You might have to be a bit patient, unless you're happy to undercut everyone else's prices, and even then maybe a bit patient depending on what you're selling. (Some of my more obscure technical books took a few months to find homes.)
I've always sold through Half.com, though some stuff I sell just stinks and so it sits there at $0.01, unloved. eBay felt like it took forever and made me feel too greedy. I never felt comfortable enough to sell through Amazon, though I don't know why. I suppose you'd get more looks.
I would love to see what kinds of books you have. I am a compulsive and perhaps our non-fictions may have overlap?
Now see, that's what I like, EASY. If only books were small and happily mailable like CDs!
Have you ever heard of this band Flaming Fire? I met a lady at the comic book festival who was in that band. She is a great comics drawer. So I looked her up and it said she was in a band called Flaming Fire that used to get played incessantly on WFMU. And I said to myself NEW YORK IS A SMALL WORLD?

Did your stuff come yet on the chicken truck? Did you bring a lot of books? How is my state's capitol?
