I mean, alternatively, they could force all men to get Vasectomies. The sperm could still be harvested if desired and in most cases the procedure is reversible. Then, even in the cases of rape and incest, we wouldn't be stuck with the difficult question of murder in the first place -- if that's the concern.
In this case, we're trying to keep up with the idea of having fertilized eggs about when two consenting adults paid dang good money to do so. Legal complications can ensue later, especially after emotional fallout. It's not fair this should affect people who aren't choosing to reproduce this way at all; giving freedom shouldn't strip other's of theirs.
I think that murder is the concern? because there's a woman who had a spontaneous miscarriage is currently on trial here for second degree murder (ok, technically, depraved-heart murder, but that carries the same weight)
But yes, I keep going, "But what about all the people on the damn pills who just need hormonal treatments?!"
She had a spontaneous miscarriage how? By taking birth control pills?
Because others, for the sake of argument, I say forced vasectomies would prevent all future unwanted children (for various reasons). I mean, if we're going to traipse into a level of insanity and human rights that I find this proposal to be.
I don't live in MS but my state has been known to pull some boneheaded moves so a lot of us are watching this with great trepidation... Hoping hoping hoping it doesn't pass!
Here's hoping. And yeah, you lot and FL and a couple other of relatively wacky states might be next since the org thinks they're going to divide and conquer. >:(

I hope that they'll make that distinction, if it passes, especially since I'm on a very low dose of estrogen. *crosses fingers* *prays*
